Taylor represented the Bellagio hotel & casino in Las Vegas in a $40 Million claim for construction defects and mold damage to 2,600 guest rooms against contractors and product manufacturers. The Firm routinely handles cases for construction claims, extras, mechanic’s liens, change orders and contractor termination.

Earthquake Litigation

The Firm’s extensive experience in construction defect and landslide litigation enabled us to represent victims of the Northridge Earthquake. Alex and Christina Robertson represented a family of a 32 year-old executive in the entertainment industry, who died along with his fiancée when their hillside home in Sherman Oaks collapsed during the Northridge Earthquake. The Firm recovered $2,150,000 from the seller and real estate broker who sold the home, for failure to disclose structural defects which caused the total structural collapse, and wrongful death of our client, during the earthquake. This case is one of the largest recoveries in California in a failure to disclose case resulting in wrongful death of the buyer.

Alexander Robertson, IV obtained a defense verdict and attorney’s fees and costs on behalf of a soils engineering firm sued by an owner of a custom Malibu hillside home when a landslide damaged the plaintiff’s property. The Firm routinely handles cases involving inverse condemnation, soils subsidence, landslides, expansive soil, sub-slab moisture intrusion, below-grade water intrusion, and mudflows.

Construction Site Accidents/Serious Personal Injuries

The Firm's partners have handled serious and catastrophic personal injury cases arising from construction site, oilfield, industrial and vehicular accidents. Jonathan S. Vick obtained a defense verdict in a multiple fatality and brain injury case arising from an oilfield accident which lasted more than 6 months in Ventura County.
