Since 1995, Robertson & Associates has developed a reputation as a national leader in microbiological contamination litigation. Alexander Robertson, IV has chaired numerous national mold litigation conferences for Mealey's Publications, Harris and Martin Publication and has published extensively on this topic for national legal and consumer publications. Mr. Robertson has served as an expert consultant to the California Senate Health & Human Services Committee on drafting the Toxic Mold Protection Act (S.B. 732) and testified numerous times before both the Senate and Assembly Health and Judiciary Committees on this bill, which in 2001 became the first toxic mold law in the country.
The Firm's clients in toxic mold cases include members of the judiciary, courthouse workers, the entertainment industry, Erin Brockovich, Ed McMahon, Ted Nugent, homeowners, businesses and public agencies. The Firm has obtained several of the largest published recoveries for homeowners in toxic mold cases around the country. The Firm also handles first party insurance bad faith litigation arising from mold claims.
Mechanic's Liens & Stop Notices
Robertson & Associates competently and confidently advises its construction clients and guides them through the maze of California Mechanic's Lien laws and Stop Notices on private and public works projects on behalf of owners, contractors and materialmen. The Firm offers legal counsel, litigation and arbitration services to its construction clients in these areas.
Robertson & Associates has significant experience in handling all aspects of an OSHA investigation from initial inspection to appealing citations to either the Federal or California Occupational Safety & Health Appeals Board. As staff counsel for the Solicitor's Office, U.S. Department of Labor, Jonathan S. Vick gained valuable experience in handling appeals on behalf of Federal OSHA. Mr. Vick uses his experience in handling appeals by employers when either Federal or California OSHA issue citations.
Wage & Hour Claims
Robertson & Associates has experience in wage and hour law. As staff counsel for the Solicitor's Office, U.S. Department of Labor, Mr. Vick was responsible for prosecuting actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Davis-Bacon Act, Walsh-Healey Act and other federal statutes before the Federal Courts and administrative law judges. Mr. Vick is able to use this experience in defending cases under the FLSA or California Labor Code & Wage Orders.
